Yvonne earned a Bachelor's degree in both Psychology and Criminal Justice. She continued on with her education earning her Masters Degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional, and EMDR trained. She has specialized training and experience in working with military service members, first responders, and their families. Using an integrative therapeutic modality, she provides a person-centered approach to meet your needs and goals. She is trained in using a variety of therapeutic approaches to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused, Adlerian, Play Therapy, Sand Tray, and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).


Yvonne worked as a Military and Family Life Counselor at Whiteman Air Force Base within squadrons alongside service members, several our local schools, and youth program; with at-risk youth in a residential treatment facility; private practice with all ages near another military installation; and with the state of Missouri as an Adult Protective and Community Worker where she investigated abuse, neglect, and exploitation of disabled persons 18 years or older and elderly populations alongside numerous police agencies. She also worked alongside numerous first responders to help those in the community. EMT's, the Emergency Room, court room, and other helping professionals/agencies were common to work with and around, giving her a unique perspective which many other clinicians do not experience.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband who is an Air Force Reservist, two children, and pet bunny. She is a huge Harry Potter fan, loves reading, playing video games, and board/card games.
